“I stumbled upon Bob’s work through an art auction at the Cherry Creek Arts festival in Denver. I fortunately had the winning bid for a custom hat and worked with Bob to get my first artwork from him. I was truly impressed with the hat; so much so that it inspired me to contact Bob about something that I had been in a quandary about how to deal with. My wife’s family had owned a bar in rural Wyoming for a number of years and they had sold tee shirts with a unique logo that had become ubiquitous throughout the area. I had wanted to memorialize this logo in some fashion but wasn’t certain how to do this with a cotton tee shirt. This is where Bob got involved. I inquired about a commission to create a wood carving of the tee shirt. It turns out that this was a no brainer. Bob helped me visualize with sketches his idea for the wood carving and then it took off from there. Throughout the project Bob sent me photos of the work in progress. It was fascinating to watch a block of basswood turn into a true-to-life replica of the bar tee shirt on a hanger. We now have the tee shirt prominently and proudly displayed in our home. It is a masterpiece. It is unlike any other art in our collection and symbolic of many memories. Thanks Bob.”
