I kept looking at this book at the bookstore. Picked it up. Flipped through it. Wondering if it was just gonna be filled with "Alright, Alright, Alright" stuff. I hesitated several times before I broke down and bought it. Man, I'm glad I did. I finished it in record time, for me. I was pulled in. "Greenlights" by Matthew McConaughey is a book about his life from his 50 yr old perspective. It's drawn from his lifelong love of journaling. We all know about his free spirit, but he talks about how his Mom and Dad instilled certain virtues in him that drove him to excel. Not many people have dreams and then go out and actually make them come to life. His writings are insightful, whimsy, out there, but always entertaining. I've heard the audio book is better, hearing his words, with his tone and twang add to the entertainment. It got me to think about a few things and try to stay more consistent with my own journaling. Hope you enjoy it too.
